W35 Women's World Tennis Championship
In December 2025, I captured the electrifying W35 Women's World Tennis Championship at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association courts, right in my backyard, securing permissions to document every thrilling rally. I also met legendary sports photographer Mr. Kamesh Srinivasan, who helped me navigate the international tournament etiquettes to stay unobtrusive while leveraging world-class facilities for stunning action shots. Featuring India's top female players alongside global stars from South Korea, Great Britain, Italy, and beyond, this project delivered dynamic images of fierce competition and athletic grace.
Kaalapootu (Rural Cattle Race)
I've photographed Kalapoothu, the thrilling rural cattle race in Kerala's Palakkad district, held in paddy fields to mark the harvest. After visiting multiple times, I captured cattle racing at full speed—finishing 100 meters in just 6-7 seconds—with jockeys holding their tails. Watching a 75-year-old jockey sprint alongside was truly inspiring, showing the fitness these riders need. Similar to races in Kantara or West Bengal's Moichara, it was an exciting event to shoot.
Narela Dangal
My repeated visits to Guru Hanuman Akhada, one of India's oldest wrestling gyms, led to real connections with the wrestlers and coaches. Head coach Praveen from Narela invited me to photograph a local dangal in his village, and I jumped at the chance. Stepping into that mud arena, surrounded by an explosive crowd, I captured wrestlers battling raw and fierce—the gritty energy and perfect light gave me some incredible shots.
5th CII Corporate Cricket League
Diving into my first corporate event, the 5th CII Corporate Cricket Tournament as their photography partner, opened my eyes to high-stakes management. The sophistication blew me away—YouTube live streams with pro cameras, AI tracking balls for DRS decisions. Shooting at Jamia Millia Islamic Stadium, where Sehwag himself played, turned it into pure thrill.
Kerala Unity Cup
The Kerala Unity Cup stood out as a unique experience, organized by the football enthusiasts of Mayur Vihar with surprising corporate-level sophistication. Beyond the crowds and superbly run matches—with refreshments, kids' activities, and crowd-engaging challenges like one-on-one games—they wove in Kerala's culture through traditional arts like Kalaripayattu and Chandamelam. As a Keralite myself, it felt deeply rooted and grounding, making it incredibly fulfilling to photograph.
Delhi Polo Season
Covering Delhi's Polo season over a full month ranked among my most fulfilling experiences. I connected with legends like Shamsheer Ali, one of India's top players, Arjuna awardee Samir Suhag, and army officers including Major Harry, who guided my journey. Despite polo's royal roots, the humility on the field and respect I earned felt incredibly rewarding.
World Para Atheletics Championships
Photographing the World Para Athletics Championship at Nehru Stadium—just 20 minutes from home—was a once-in-a-lifetime chance I couldn't pass up. Securing permissions to shoot from the stands, I captured athletes triumphing over immense challenges with sheer determination. Watching them rise above every obstacle to claim victory proved truly uplifting.
